This is one of the resorts, I will not visit again. If I stayed at Hilton or Holiday Inn, they would have easily extended the stay until 1 or 2 pm. We asked for an extended check out time, since our flight got delayed until 5 pm, but they refused. But, we had to wait near until 4 pm, which is the usual checking time. We asked for early checking and arrived at 2 pm. The two-bedroom was small when compared to the ones in Florida. This resort is not up to the standard of the resort in Florida - Turkey Lake. As usual, they call you early morning to get you to attend their owner update, which is an attempt to sell more of their "up-graded" resorts. So, you have to order Uber eats or get a taxi and go to the restaurant. There is no restaurant inside the resort. Please save your money, your time, and your energy and find somewhere else!!!ĭuring my stay in March 2021, only the pool was open. They do NOT care about customers and will straight up lie to your face to get you to leave. Every person that we spoke to, at the resort and at the corporate office, was extremely unfriendly, arrogant, and rude. So here I am back home - we were forced to cut the long weekend extremely short and leave since there was no availability on Saturday and they would not accommodate us. HE was the one not meeting US in the middle by refusing to hear us out. We were showing him all the emails that I had received and all correspondence relating to the stay, as well as my internet history which also clearly showed that I had viewed a confirmation page on Westgate's website on May 10. He antagonized us by claiming we were not meeting him in the middle, which makes absolutely no sense. Clearly an error in their system - but he was treating us like we were at fault, and he was not willing to accommodate us at all. He talked in circles and kept repeating the same sentence over and over again: "I cannot help you if you don't have a confirmation number." Which was clearly the root of the problem the entire time - I had booked the reservation, I had received emails about my stay, but never received a confirmation number. When my friends arrived at the resort, we all spoke to Ariel in person, who was extremely frustrating and unhelpful. Also not true - I did not tell anyone that, ever. Then he said that he spoke to the front desk agent, who told him that I told her that I "forgot" to book Saturday. He first tried to tell us that I had booked my reservation through (not true). My friends were speaking on the phone with him for about a half an hour as they drove to Vegas, and he couldn't get his information straight. The most frustrating part was when we were communicating with Ariel, the manager at the resort.

Saturday was fully booked, so we couldn't secure a room for that day. Thankfully they had rooms available for that night so I ended up being able to book that one night, but we were planning on staying the entire weekend. I spend a couple hours on the phone with Westgate corporate who also do nothing to help me. I explain the situation and show the emails that clearly indicate that I have a reservation, but the front desk team does nothing to help me.

Yesterday, May 28, I pull up to the resort with my friends and absolutely no one can find my reservation. On May 27, I got a certificate to redeem a complimentary welcome gift when I check in, valid from May 28-May 31 (the dates that I booked). On May 11, I received an email from Westgate Flamingo Bay telling me to share my stay on social media and how they were excited to see me. I booked my stay through Westgate's website on May 10 for Memorial Day weekend (May 28-May 31). STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT AT ALL COSTS!!!! Terrible experience all around.
